Technical Accomplishments:

Primary engineer responsible for the development of AGA Report No. 8. (1985, 1992, 1994), API MPMS Chapter 14.2 Part 2, and ISO Standard 12213 on High Accuracy Compressibility Factors for Natural Gas Custody Transfer. Led US effort to integrate US and ISO natural gas physical property measurement standards. Results have been implemented worldwide.

Primary engineer responsible for conception, design, and development of high accuracy physical properties laboratory for the Gas Research Institute.

Developed "SuperZ" software for ultrasonic and sonic nozzle calculations. Industry support provided by Natural Gas Pipeline, Ruhr gas, Stork, Daniel, Starling Associates, Chevron, K-lab, NBS, and GRI.

Successfully created the first joint US and ISO standards in TC193 in 1994.

Developed and managed the GRI Basic Research Program in the Fluid Properties of Natural Gas and Related Fluids from 1987 to 2000.

Conceived and managed extensive GRI research programs in gas measurement, gas hydrates, acid gas treating, and gas dehydration from 1987 to 2000. Participating organizations included AGA, API, CEESI, DOE, GERG, GPA, MMS, NEL, and PRCI.

Holder of three patents describing ultrasonic measurement techniques. Two patents are pending that describe gas hydrate applications.

Chairman for Natural Gas Density (Compressibility) and Energy Content working groups, API COGFM. Task Group Chair for VCF for Gasoline/Ethanol blends, API COMQ. Vice-Chairman of ANSI U.S. TAG for TC 193. Task group member of API Flare Gas Measurement Group.

Selected as first recipient of Gas Research Institute Research Fellowship Award.
